Tonight’s “The Pugilist KOrner”: Mikey Garcia, Edwin Rodriguez and More!

Blogtalkradio’s “The Pugilist KOrner” is proud to present World Boxing Organization (WBO) Featherweight title challenger Mikey Garcia, Super Middleweight contender Edwin Rodriguez, Boxing Manager Luis Decubas Jr, and two young fighters making their introduction to the listening audience, Melson Boyd and William McElroy.

Making his debut to “The Pugilist KOrner” will be WBO Featherweight title challenger Mikey Garcia (29-0, 25 KOs). The talented young fighter will discuss his upcoming November 10th fight date on HBO, as well as his search for an interim opponent while current WBO Champ Orlando Salido is on the mend.

The Oxnard, California resident will also share his thoughts on this weekend’s big, big fight card in Carson, California.

Returning to “The Pugilist KOrner” will be Super Middleweight contender Edwin “La Bomba” Rodriguez (22-0, 15 KOs). The hard punching Dominican native will discuss his knock-out performance on HBO Boxing After Dark two weeks ago, as well as potential match-ups in the competitive 168 pound weight division. Edwin will also give us some insight into this Friday’s match-up between Don George and Adonis Stevenson on Wealth TV.

Also coming back to “The Pugilist KOrner” will be lifelong boxing proponent and fight manager Luis Decubas Jr. The always entertaining and candid boxing insider will gives us his take on the upcoming fight between Vanes Martirosyan and his fighter, Erislandy Lara, which is set to take place on November 10th at the Wynn Las Vegas. The very astute Mr. Decubas will also give us some insight into the future plans of Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero, and whether or not a fight with Tim Bradley will materialize.

“The Pugilist KOrner” is also proud to introduce two exciting young prospects to our listening audience: Junior Middleweight Boyd Melson (10-1, 4 KOs) and Welterweight William McElroy (2-0, 0 KOs). Boyd will be fighting on the undercard of the big Barclays Center event in Brooklyn, New York, on October 20th, and William will be trying to pick up his third professional victory this Friday night at the “Hitman Hearns” Entertainment fight card in Detroit, Michigan.

Tonight’s show will be hosted by Radio commentator James King and Boxing writer and announcer Joseph Herron.
