“The Pugilist KOrner” is honored to welcome back current WBA Junior Middleweight Champion Austin “No Doubt” Trout (26-0, 14 KOs). The current world champ will discuss his upcoming unification bout with WBC title holder Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, which has been slated for May 4th, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The undefeated technician will give us his insight into this monumental event, as well as his hopes and aspirations for 2013.
“The Pugilist KOrner” is also privileged to feature Hall of Fame Matchmaker and Promoter Don “War a Week” Chargin. The boxing great will promote his upcoming life story and memoirs titled, “War a Week and Sweet Lorraine: A Match Made in Boxing Heaven”, which has been scheduled for a summer release at all major book outlets. The six decade fight proponent will give our listeners some entertaining excerpts from the highly anticipated narrative.
Making his special debut to “The Pugilist KOrner” will be Middleweight prospect Patrick Majewski (19-1-1, 11 KOs). The talented Polish warrior will discuss his upcoming bout with Jamaal Davis at the Bally’s Event Center this Saturday night in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The highly touted prospect will also discuss his future in the packed 160 pound weight division.
Also returning to “The Pugilist KOrner” will be “2012 Prospect of the Year” and current Welterweight contender Keith “One Time” Thurman (19-0, 18 KOs). The hard punching Florida native will discuss his upcoming contest against former IBF Welterweight Champion Dejan Zaveck of Slovenia, which has been slated for March 9th at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The entertaining young fighter will also give us his thoughts on the upcoming Mayweather Jr/Guerrero title fight on May 4th.
“The Pugilist KOrner” is always honored to welcome back current Junior Middleweight contender Delvin Rodriguez (27-6-3, 15 KOs). The Connecticut resident will discuss his most recent victory on ESPN’s “Friday Night Fights”, which took place this past week, over previously undefeated George Tahdooahnippah. The always insightful fight veteran will also help us analyze the upcoming Austin Trout/Canelo Alvarez bout on May 4th.
Also appearing on “The Pugilist KOrner” for the first time will be highly touted Middleweight prospect and former 2008 Olympian Tureano “Reno” Johnson (13-0, 10 KOs). The talented 160 pound fighter will discuss his February 22nd bout against the always tough Willie Fortune at the Morongo Resort & Casino in Cabazon, California. The big prospect showdown will be broadcast on Showtime this Friday night at 11PM EST.
