The Swedish Princess Klara Svensson is ready for gold and glory

Klara Svensson (13-0, 5 KOs) yesterday met the Swedish press in her hometown of Malmö to announce her World title fight against Marie Riederer (15-1-1, 10 KOs) at the Nordic Fight Night in Copenhagen on September 13.

‘’The Swedish Princess’’ feels stronger than ever and ready for the interim WBC Female World Light Welterweight Championship clash.

“This will be the greatest challenge of my career, but it’s time to show that I belong at the top,” said Svensson.

It’s been eight months since Klara Svensson last entered the ring, claiming a first-round knockout victory over Veronika Hornyák. The 26 year-old is now hungry to show the world that she is ready to step up to the elite level of female boxing.

“I already have the WBC Silver belt, but now I want the gold one. A victory over Riederer will be a major step towards fulfilling my ambition of becoming the best boxer in the world.

“Riederer is used to controlling her fights so I must disturb her rhythm and break her down. If I get a chance to finish the fight I’ll take it. It will be ‘no mercy’ like in my last fight

“I feel really confident about this challenge. I feel that I’m faster and more explosive than my opponent,” said Svensson.

The battle for world glory takes place at TAP1 in Copenhagen on September 13. Tickets are available at
