at the beautiful Mount Airy Casino and Resort!!!

It is time to settle unfinished business as up and coming welterweight sensation Juan “The Beast” Rodriguez (9-0, 4Ko’s) tangles with upset minded, nineteen fight veteran Dontre King again Friday night under the tent in the main event of the loaded Labor Day Fight night card at the Mount Airy Casino and Resort in Mount Pocono, PA. Andre Kut’s KEA Boxing Promotions has also put together an entertaining undercard featuring some of the most exciting fighters in the region, which is sure to satisfy even the most ardent boxing fan.

Juan Rodriquez knows Dontre King well, having faced him in just his second fight as a professional, capturing a hard earned unanimous decision victory. King has since tested the likes of “Stone Cold” Stevie Weimer (8-0, 2Ko’s), Decarlo Perez (7-2-1, 2Ko’s), Naim Nelson (7-0, 1Ko) and Jose Peralta Aleju (9-1, 5KO’s) gaining much needed knowledge. The experience has done King well as he has been victorious in three of his last five bouts. When the rematch with the talented Rodriquez became available, the seasoned veteran jumped at the opportunity to try and put the first blemish on the rising prospects perfect record.

“I know King,” said Rodriquez. “He will be ready and in top condition on Friday night, but I am the best shape of my life and will come out victorious again.” Will King slay “the Beast”? Or will “The Beast” continue his way up the welterweight ladder with a victory over the crafty veteran. It will all be decided in the ring on Friday night.

When a fighter pulls out of a match at the last minute, it usually results in a less attractive fight, but that is not the case in the co-feature of the evening showcasing a pair of explosive lightweights who are ready to take it to the next level. Originally slated for the card, was undefeated lightweight prospect Angel Ocasio, but unfortunately he had to pullout which left a last minute problem. Matchmaker Diana Rodriquez immediately went to the phones looking for a suitable replacement. Bryan Acaba (3-0, 2Ko’s) saw a golden opportunity to make a name for himself in the lightweight division when the bout was offered and immediately signed the contract to face hard hitting lightweight Tyrone Luckey (4-2, 4KO’s). each fighter has explosive power in both hands, so don’t blink as fireworks are sure to go off right from the opening bell in this battle of up and coming knockout artists.

Also on the card is heavy handed junior middleweight Robert “RJ” Sockwell (3-2, 3Ko’s) of East Scranton, PA, who is ready to entertain the local brethren in a four round contest against gritty four fight veteran Tyrell Boggs at of the fighting city of Philadelphia PA.
