Rios vs. Alvarado II live on BoxNation

The blockbuster rematch between Brandon Rios and Mike Alvarado will be broadcast LIVE and exclusive in the UK on the Channel of Champions BoxNation (Sky.Ch 437/Virgin Ch. 546) on Sunday morning.

Former WBA World Lightweight Champion Rios and top-rated challenger Alvarado fought in one of the most exciting and brutal fights of 2012 that saw the gladiators go toe-to-toe before Rios wore down Alvarado in the seventh round.

The rematch at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas is expected to be as gripping as their first encounter, with Rios being favourite to celebrate another dramatic win.

The highly anticipated rematch adds to what is already an explosive schedule of boxing on BoxNation. Earlier this month the channel announced it has secured the LIVE and exclusive UK rights for the world’s best pound-for-pound fighter Floyd Mayweather Jnr’s WBC World Welterweight title defence against Robert Guerrero from Las Vegas on May 4.

The channel also announced it will broadcast LIVE and exclusive Amir Khan’s first fight in the UK in two years against Julio Diaz in Sheffield on April 27.

An action-packed three weeks’ on BoxNation starts on Saturday 20th April with WBO World Light-Heavyweight Champion Nathan Cleverly defending his title against Robin Krasniqi plus controversial and exciting heavyweight Dereck Chisora at Wembley Arena; followed by Amir Khan v Julio Diaz and Sergio Martinez v Martin Murray on Saturday 27th April and then Floyd Mayweather Jnr v Robert Guerrero on Saturday 4th May, and much more all for the incredible value of just £10 per month – all live and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 437/Virgin Ch. 546).
