Riddick Bowe To Fight Muay Thai in Thailand

Ltd. present Muay Thai at its finest when former Undisputed Heavyweight Champion RIDDICK “BIG DADDY” BOWE known in Thailand as “BOWE THAI” returns to the ring competing against LEVGEN GOLOVIN of Russia for the WBC & WMC Muay Thai Super Heavyweight Championships on May 13, 2013 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The action-packed undercard includes Muay Thai sensations Simon Marcus vs. Kaoklai Kaennorsing for the WMC & WPMF Light Heavyweight Championships; Armin Pumpanmuang vs. Sean Karney; Saiyok Pumpanmuang vs. Chike Lindsay for the WPMF Middleweight Championship; Singmanee Kaewsamrit vs.
Malic Groenberg for the WPMF Welterweight Championship; Fred Sikking vs. Dewey Cooper for the WMC Heavyweight Championship and Marvin Eastman vs. Ricardo van den Bos for the WPMF Super Heavyweight Championship.

The event will also include Boxing Legends of Yesteryear as well as a host of local and international talent for the entertainment of the fight community, tourists and worldwide media.

Riddick Bowe was born August 10, 1967 in Brooklyn, New York. He is the former Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World who is best remembered for his trilogy with Evander “The Real Deal” Holyfield and his two brutal bouts with Andrew Golota. The 10th round of his epic battle with Holyfield was touted by Ring Magazine as “Round of the Year”. Hall of Fame Commentator Al Bernstein exclaimed “That was one of the best heavyweight rounds ever!” Bowe’s only professional defeat came by way of a majority decision loss to Holyfield in 1993 which he later redeemed by TKO in 1995. Riddick’s amateur boxing record was 104-18, and he won the Silver Medal in the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, Korea. His professional boxing record stands at 43-1-0 with 33 wins by way of knockout. Big Daddy was trained as a Boxer by Thell Torrence and the late great Eddie Futch. He is now trying his hand at Muay Thai and is known in Thailand as “BOWE THAI”. Bowe is trained in Muay Thai by Airr Phanthip and Master Chan Duangsima.
