Pitbull Boxing makes boxing promotional debut!

Los Angeles, April 12, 2013. Los Angeles based Pitbull Boxing Promotions is happy to announce their entrance into the boxing business. Kicking off their first promotion will be the May 10th clash between Pitbull stable fighter IBF #7 Cleotis ‘Mookie’ Pendarvis (17-3,6KO’s) vs. undefeated ranked IBF #3 Canadian Dierry Jean (24-0, 16KO’s) for the IBF Jr. Welterweight elimination bout, scheduled for 12 rounds, broadcast live on Shobox the ‘Next Generation’.

Pitbull Boxing Promotions is the brain child of the owner of famed Roscoes Chicken and Waffles and is also the driving force behind Pitbull Energy Products.

Pitbull Boxing Promotions mission is simple; signing great talent from all over the country and provide a platform for otherwise overlooked fighters to be seen. “At one point in time, boxing was a means of elevation for the under privileged inner-city male. Now it seems that avenue has been closed, due in part to promoters lack of interest in developing a fighter and the greed that comes with the business. I pride myself in being successful in my many business endeavors, now that I have the time and the means; I want to help fighters that deserve to be seen by the masses.” Pitbull Boxing Promotions

Heading up the day to day business at Pitbull Boxing, will be Rachel Charles and Diane Vara. Charles has been in the business in the capacity of a publicist for many years, having worked at Goossen Tutor Promotions and with elite talent as James ‘Lights Out’ Toney, Paul ‘Punisher’ Williams, and 2004 Olympic Gold medal winner Andre ‘SOG’ Ward to name a few. Vara brings many years of marketing skills, having spearheaded numerous partnerships both domestic and international for Pitbull Energy Products, as well as the owners other business entities.
