Peter McDonagh aims to give the fans another fantastic night

Cinderella man Peter McDonagh aims to give the fans another “fantastic night” and show “the best is yet to come.”

The 35-year-old former Irish lightweight champion feels fresh and is ready to give his best performance to date.

“I boxed only two weeks ago, which I won and I’m still fresh from that, so the fans can expect another fantastic night,” Peter said.

“I’m really looking forward to getting back out at Glow, it’s a fantastic venue and since I last fought there I’m undefeated, so I’m really keen to keep going and getting the wins.”

For McDonagh, this will be his 50th professional fight, but he feels this is just the beginning.

“People in boxing know I can fight and I just want to show everyone,” Peter said.

“This will be my 50th fight as well and I want to give a big performance and show that the best is yet to come.

“I’d love to fight for an International title, but I just want to keep winning and hopefully I’ll get my opportunity.

“I’ve boxed every style you can box, so nothing fazes me – everything motivates me and I’ll always be in a great fight.

“I’ve had a hard career and people in boxing know I can fight, respect me as a fighter, I’ve paid my dues and I deserve my chance.

“Everyone loves a story and believe me I’ve got a story – the fairy tale continues.”

Born in Galway, Ireland, McDonagh of Bermondsey, London, fights on the undercard to James DeGale MBE’s WBC Silver super middleweight title defence against ‘Dangerous’ Dyah Davis at Glow, Bluewater on Saturday 16th November, featuring an all-star line up, live on Channel 5 from 10pm.
