Joan Guzman and Claudio Marrero seek world titles
After reach his first world championship last March 9th in Costa Mesa, CA. Through Argenis “La Tormenta” Mendez, when the Dominican fighter annihilate in four rounds Mexican Juan Carlos Salgado to snatch the IBF super featherweight world title. Acquinity Sports expected to get two more titles by Joan Guzman and Claudio Marrero before the end of 2013.
Henry Rivalta and Gary Jonas Acquinity Sports top executives are negotiating with different promoters and for now, they have secured two world title fights; the first between super lightweight Joan Guzman against Vicente Mosquera for the WBA interim world title. This fight is scheduled for the middle of June at a place to be determined.
In addition, Rivalta reports that World Boxing Association notified them that this organization just sanction a world title bout between featherweights ranked # 2 Claudio “The Matrix” Marrero and an opponent to be named very soon to compete for the interim world title lost by Javier Fortuna in his last fight when he could not make weight the day of weighing.
Both Joan Guzman as Claudio Marrero trained under the direction of Acquinity Sports Head Coach, German Caicedo in Miami, Florida. “It’s easy work for a coach when the athlete meets the plans and show determination in each session. Guzman and Marrero are high level athletes and discipline and responsibility are important to achieving his goals, and both have that capacity” said Caicedo
Furthermore, Argenis Mendez just opened his training camp in England to defend his title for the first time. “The expectations are very large, and we expect to end 2013 with at least 3 champions in our team. However, our goals go beyond three titles in different class, currently we develop top prospects in almost all weights and in 2014 we hope to expand the number of champions” said Rivalta
In this way, both the CEO Gary Jonas and the promoter Henry Rivalta, assured that very soon the Acquinity Sports Team, would be adding two more titles to that achieved dramatically by Argenis Mendez “We are entering a decisive stage to Acquinity Sports, our team of boxers will have the opportunity to get titles shots in different weights and in this way, we will be entering a higher level to compete against the big boys.
