Norfolk boxer Chris Alexander signs to Golden Boy Promotions
Norfolk, VA: Professional boxer Chris “The Dentist” Alexander has signed to Golden Boy Promotions, a combat sport promotional firm started by former boxer six-division world champion Oscar De La Hoya. Signing on to this prestigious firm will catapult his boxing career straight to the top as a lightweight fighter.
The nickname “The Dentist” came about when he was in middle school two bullies tried to pick on him on two different occasions and he knocked or loosen their teeth (and no more problems with bullies). On the flip side, he was given this nickname because he’s always complimented for his teeth and winning smile.
Chris Alexander was born and raised in Norfolk, VA. Boxing is second nature to Chris. Alexander trains out of Box-N-Go Boxing Gym in Norfolk. He has won prestigious titles such as the National Ringside Championship during his amateur career. Chris’s current record is 4-0 with 4 KOs.
Chris’s next fight will be on the Triple Championship Showtime Boxing event at the DC Armory in Washington, DC on April 19, (6:00pm gates open). He will engage in a 4 rounder (opponent is TBA) that night and tickets are on sale, on line.
