New Blood Show Comes To Birmingham Later This Month
Midlands Area Cruiserweight Champion, Chris Keane, tops the bill of It’s A-Bout-Boxing’s ‘New Blood’ Show at the HMV Institute in Digbeth, Birmingham, on Friday, 26th April.
The 26 year-old former ABA Champion (9-0) blew away former British Champion, Shane McPhilbin, inside five rounds earlier this year to win the title and is moving up the British rankings at lightning speed.
The undercard of this exciting show is also packed with a whole host of local fighters and Promoter, Marcus Anderson-Hitchen, has promised fight fans an evening they will remember.
“It will be a great night,” he told www.uko-boxing.com. “We’re looking at delivering a boxing show to Birmingham boxing fans that’s a little different. We’ve got a number of ideas in the pipeline.
“Aside from that, we have got an excellent bill of boxing featuring a host of hungry, up and coming fighters. I can’t wait.”
As well as Keane, who will face an as yet unnamed foreign opponent, there are four other intriguing battles.
Erdington Light-Welterweight, Chris Truman, is back in action after his controversial points loss to Amir Unsworth for the British Masters Title last month. The 28 year-old takes on South African, Bheki Moyo (0-51-2).
Coventry Heavyweight, Mike O’Hagan (3-0) will be looking to build on his unbeaten start to life a s pro when he takes on Trowbridge’s Luke Martin (0-0-1).
Tamworth’s Matt Seawright (3-73-5) is back in action against Czech scrapper, Vaclav Skromach (1-9-0) and local youngster, Disney Huni, completes the line-up.
The Zimbabwe-born 21 year-old competed in the Fourth African Cup Amateur Boxing Tournament in Botswana last year and is set to make his professional debut on the show.
