Luis Cruz, John Karl Sosa and Bernard Lebron added to “Noche de Campeones DIRECTV”

Former world ranked Luis “El Artesano” Cruz and unbeaten prospects John Karl Sosa and Bernard “Bimbo” Lebron were added to the show “Noche de Campeones DIRECTV” on December 7 at the Humacao Arena in Humacao, Puerto Rico, where world contenders McWilliams Arroyo, McJoe Arroyo and Jose “Chelo” Gonzalez will fight in important bouts.

The card, a PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) presentation in association with the Philippine, ALA Boxing Promotions, will be broadcasted on DIRECTV Pay Per View in Puerto Rico.

“Luis Cruz is back to the ring after a one year inactivity in this show and in Humacao, a city near his Las Piedras home. He (Cruz) is looking for new chances in the lightweight division and he is training hard for this bout”, promoter Ivan Rivera said. “Prospects John Karl Sosa and Bimbo Lebron will fight again and we have a Humacao native, Jose Lopez, who is going to make his pro debut there”.

El Artesano Cruz (20-2, 16 KOs), who doesn’t fight since September 13, 2012, when he lost an unanimous decision against world contender Jose Felix Jr. will face an opponent to be determined in a lightweight 8 round fight.

Meanwhile, John Karl Sosa (8-0, 6 KOs) will fight for the fifth time in 2013 when he faces a rival to be named in a bout scheduled to six rounds in the junior welterweight division. Sosa came off a KO win in June against Alexis Peña in Dallas, Texas. Bimbo Lebron (2-0, 2 KOs) will fight in a 4 round fight in the lightweights and young Jose Lopez, from Humacao, will make his pro debut in the junior lightweights.

Headlining the card, the 2009 Amateur World Champion and 2008 Olympian, McWilliams Arroyo (14-1, 12 KOs), will face world contender Rocky Fuentes (35-6-2, 20 KOs), in an International Boxing Federation (IBF) eliminatory flyweight fight for the #1 ranking spot. McWilliams twin brother, McJoe Arroyo (13-0, 7 KOs), also a 2008 Olympian and a 2007 Amateur World Championship bronze medalist, will fight in another IBF eliminatory bout for the #2 place in the superflyweight rankings, when he faces Eliezer Aquino (15-0-1, 9 KOs). Also, lightweight contender Chelo Gonzalez (22-1, 17 KOs) will face Mark Acub (13-0, 10 KOs) for an IBF regional title in a fight scheduled to 10 rounds.
