Khattab signs with Team Sauerland, makes Nordic Fight Night debut in Albertslund
Team Sauerland are pleased to announce the signing of highly rated Danish middleweight Abdul Khattab (5-0, 2 KOs). The 20 year-old will make his Nordic Fight Night debut on February 15th against Aleksei Tsatiasvili (5-5, 2 KOs) at the Albertslund MusikTeatret.
‘’I am very happy to have signed with Team Sauerland,’’ said Khattab. ‘’I am looking forward to getting back in the ring and fighting as part of the Nordic Fight Night. This will be a great opportunity for me to showcase my skills and show everyone what I can do.’’
Promoter Nisse Sauerland: ‘’We are delighted to welcome Abdul to the team. He is a very exciting talent and we expect big things from him.’’
Khattab faces Tsatiasvili on Saturday night in Albertslund. The Estonian will be a familiar face with Danish boxing fans having previously gone the distance with Torben Keller and Ahmed Kaddour.
‘’Tsatiasvili is a tough guy,’’ said Khattab. ‘’He has been in the ring with some good boxers including Keller and Kaddour but I am confident in my ability and I know that when the final bell rings it will be my hand raised in the air. ‘’
Local boxer Patrick Nielsen will headline the Nordic Fight Night in Albertslund, challenging Tony Jeter for the WBC Silver Middleweight World Championship, while younger brother Micki Nielsen will fight for the WBC Youth Cruiserweight World title. Tickets are available at billetnet.dk.
