Hellraiser Promotions are bringing big-time boxing to Gillingham

Britain’s busiest promoters have joined forces with trainer/manager Alan Smith to stage FOUR title fights at Medway Park Leisure Centre on Friday, September 20.

Kent light-heavyweights Dan Wooodgate and Leon Senior clash for the vacant Southern Area title – and the vacant Southern Area super-bantamweight strap is up for grabs when Lewis Pettitt and Jamie Speight meet.

Fast-rising lightweight Adam Dingsdale looks sure to bring plenty of support from nearby Hoo for his title fight and Peckham crowd-pleaser Johnny Garton also battles for a belt on what promises to be an action-packed bill.

Smith hopes a four-figure crowd will watch the show and said: “We are trying going to bring some razzmatazz and make sure everyone has a good night.

“The likes of Dan Woodgate and Lewis Pettitt have been on TV before and we believe they are TV fighters.”
Woodgate’s previous appearance in front of the cameras brought a stunning knock-out of Paul Davis that has been seen by thousands of internet fight fans.

Smith rates his clash with Senior as a 50-50 fight and Woodgate admitted: “We both have to win. Whoever loses has nowhere to go.”

Lloyd Ellett and Brett Beadon, both recent additions to Smith’s stable, are also set to be matched.
Ellett is targeting light-middleweight titles this season after putting together 10 straight wins – and Beadon is making his professional debut in Gillingham.

Beadon was a top amateur with Repton – winning national honours and reaching the ABA light-welterweight title in 2011 – and Smith regards the Croydon southpaw as “a special talent.”

Martin Welsh, the former English light-middleweight title challenger from Swanley, is also set to be matched and tickets are available from Mickey Helliet on 0784 3636 920.
