Granat to face veteran heavyweight Uysal at the Nordic Fight Night
It will be youth against experience when Adrian Granat (4-0, 4 KOs) goes toe-to-toe with Turkish heavyweight Serdar Uysal (14-19-2, 7 KOs) at the Nordic Fight Night on September 13 at TAP1 in Copenhagen.
In just his fifth professional contest Granat will test his skills against the 35 fight veteran Uysal. ‘’I expect to win and I expect to knock him out,” said the confident 23 year-old. ”That is what I want to do and that is what I intend to do.’’
In preparation for this fight the ECB promoted boxer has spent time in Team Sauerland’s Berlin gym, sparring with Klitschko challenger and World ranked number two Kubrat Pulev. ‘’To go and spar with Kubrat was a great learning experience. It gave me the opportunity to test myself against one of the best in the world and to see what level I am at.’’
The Malmö boxer is part of a trio of Swedish boxers competing in Copenhagen on September 13. ‘’The Swedish Princess’’ Klara Svensson (13-0, 5 KOs) gets her first shot at world glory when she meets Marie Riederer (15-1-1, 10 KOs) for the interim WBC World Light Welterweight Championship, while Erik Skoglund (20-0, 11 KOs) defends his European (EU) Light Heavyweight title and challenges for the IBF Intercontinental belt against Stefano Abatangelo (18-3-1, 6 KOs).
