“Chavez/Vera and Stevenson/Cloud” edition of “The Pugilist KOrner’s: Weekend Wrap”

Tonight at 9PM EST/6PM PST, The Sports Krib proudly presents a very special “Ringside Scorecard” edition of “The Pugilist KOrner’s: Weekend Wrap”!!

In the first segment of tonight’s program, Joseph will discuss the ongoing controversy concerning the scoring system in professional boxing, as well as the entire HBO fight card, which took place from two different locations; Carson, California, and Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

We will also be joined by American Heavyweight prospect David Martin III, who will be fighting and training in the Lone Star State for the remainder of 2013. The talented, hard punching fighter will also chime in on his thoughts of the subjective process of scoring a prizefight.

The Pugilist KOrner team will also examine the respective futures of all four combatants included in last night’s festivities, including Adonis Stevenson, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, Bryan Vera, and Tavoris Cloud.

At the thirty minute mark of tonight’s show, “The Pugilist KOrner” is honored to feature elite level trainer Ronnie Shields. The lifelong boxing mentor will discuss Bryan Vera’s gritty effort against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. Mr. Shields will also talk about the flaws in the current system of scoring a prizefight, as well as how state commissions can improve the process of scoring a fight.

In the final segment of the show, we will be joined by master strategist James Gogue. The knowledgeable fight trainer will talk about last night’s performances by Adonis Stevenson, Bryan Vera, Tavoris Cloud, and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Mr. Gogue will also preview the upcoming Miguel Cotto vs. Delvin Rodriguez and Wladimir Klitschko vs. Alexander Povetkin bouts, as well as other events on the boxing calendar.

Tonight’s show will be hosted by Boxing writer and ring announcer Joseph Herron, as well as sports writer Joe Fairbanks.
