Ceylan: I want to show the real me

Dennis Ceylan (10-0, 5 KOs) is eager to impress when he faces Ivan Ruiz Morote (16-4-1, 7 KOs) at the Nordic Fight Night in Esbjerg on April 12th.

“I’m really looking forward to this fight,” said Ceylan.

“I want to show the real side of my boxing. I want to show an active and entertaining boxer having fun in the ring. This is how I want to be seen.”

In the last few fights, sore and swollen hands have hampered the featherweight’s boxing.

”It’s been frustrating. My hands should do more harm to my opponent than myself when I punch.”

But the fast hands of Ceylan have recovered and will be ready to punch again when he returns to the ring at the Blue Water Dokken.

For the fight, 25 year-old has been working on some new things with his coach Frank Holm.

“We’re trying some new stuff. We have been working on some unexpected punches and movements. Frank likes to experiment a bit and do things not seen before. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t.”

The Aarhus BK-boxer had a rough childhood growing up in orphanages. He never concealed the fact that the driving force behind his boxing is to ensure that his two children do not miss out on anything in their lives. For the entertaining fighter boxing has always been a very serious business.

“I’m fighting for the money and to secure a good future for my children. But of course I want to achieve great results in boxing, I want to be world champion one day.”
