Ashley Theophane Joins Mayweather Promotions
Mayweather Promotions is proud to announce the signing of World Class Fighter, Ashley “Treasure” Theophane, the current British Light Welterweight Champion. Ashley is the 10th fighter to be welcomed the Money Team “Rising Stars” stable. “Floyd Mayweather, Leonard Ellerbe, the whole Money Team, and Mayweather Promotions staff has shown me much love and respect. I used to watch Floyd train via Sky Sports or BoxNation in the UK, and now I’m part of The Money Team. Dreams can come true, you just have to have self-belief to make it a reality,” stated Theophane in response to what it feels like to join the Mayweather Promotions’ banner.
Just last month, Ashley entered the Mayweather Camp as one of a select few to serve as Floyd “Money” Mayweather’s sparring partners in preparation for what many are calling one of the most compelling and anticipated fights left in boxing, “THE ONE: MAYWEATHER VS. CANELO.” Ashley has been very vocal as to the experience he has gained being able to train at the famed Mayweather Boxing Club where he gets to be surrounded by a host of talent from around the world and also witness Mayweather train in preparation for his upcoming mega-fight.
Having trained with some of the world’s greatest fighters in the toughest gyms from London to Las Vegas, Ashley has forged an enviable reputation for carving his own path. With an undeniable love for the sport, Ashley took it upon himself to train hard all while managing himself and fighting across the globe. His drive has lead to him establishing a name for himself abroad alongside other boxing elite.
Ashley “Treasure” Theophane will be making his Money Team debut in a 10-round welterweight battle against Pablo Cesar “Demoledor” Cano at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on the September 14 “The One” Pay-Per-View undercard. With his 33-5-1 record the future is nothing short of bright for Treasure. The common theme throughout the Mayweather Camp is “Hard Work & Dedication” and his work ethic aligns precisely.
