Al Bernstein Brings Hall of Fame Weekend to the Fans

2012 International Boxing Hall of Fame Inductee Al Bernstein will serve as unofficial tour guide for all the fans who can’t make it to Canastota New York for this year’s induction ceremonies. Al will provide special video reports throughout the induction weekend June 6-8 that will include his own insights as well as interviews with the sports biggest names. All this video content can be seen at and at

Bernstein described the IBHOF induction weekend as “one of the most unique events not just in boxing, but in any sport.” He added, “I have been to the Hall of Fame weekends of other sports and none is as intimate and fan-friendly as boxing’. For the fans that can’t be there in person I want to be their host for this and bring the experience to them. We will be webcasting all throughout the weekend. I want the fans who watch me to enjoy this event along with me. At the end of the day, when I am there I am just like every other boxing fan enjoying the historic moments.”

Among those in this class of inductees are a trio of great fighters, Joe Calzaghe, Oscar DeLaHoya and Felix Trinidad. “This is a special induction class,” Bernstein said, “These three gave us all many great memories from thrilling matches. They come from different countries and different cultures, but they share the title of champion and they each have fans all around the globe.”

Al Bernstein’s boxing hangouts and reports from the Hall of Fame weekend will be produced by Dan Parks.
