The American Boxing Association, America’s only national governing body is about to give United States boxing a well needed jolt. The ABA is offering club level fighters the chance to advance in the most competitive sport in the world. The intent is to offer fighters opportunities to compete, gain a sense of pride and accomplishment and move to the next level to represent America in being the best in the world in this sport of kings.
The ABA intends to nurture American boxing to be the best it can be, and in doing so will revive and allow American boxing to continue to grow and improve. The ABA will have regional title fights throughout the country. To qualify, fighters they must not have had more than 15 professional fights and are required to be US citizens. All competition will be the best in their division, and will consist of 8×3 minute rounds.
Like other boxing counterparts in Great Britain, and other parts of the world, the ABA aims to provide an opportunity for American boxers to fight for, defend, a patriotic title. The opportunity is available for all USA boxers with requisite experience, drive, and dedication.
The ultimate goal of the ABA is for USA fighters to face the best in their country, continuing and preserving the tradition of the champions that preceded them in boxing history.
