Wladimir
Klitschko looking forward to his comeback
26.08 - Munich Former WBO world champion Dr. Wladimir
Klitschko is eager to celebrate his comeback to the ring
next Saturday, August 30. At the huge Olympic Arena in
Munich the 27-year-old Ukrainian will face Argentine Fabio
Moli, 29-2 (17), heading a fightcard billed Night
of the Giants where all contests are heavyweight
fights plus one at cruiserweight.
This fight means all or nothing for me. Im
impatient and Im looking forward to next Saturday
like its my birthday party, Wladimir Klitschko,
40-2 (37), said on Mondays press conference in Munich.
Its the first fight of the younger Klitschko brother
since his highly unexpected defeat to South African Corrie
Sanders in March in Hanover. For his comeback the former
WBO champion prepared one month in Hamburg and one month
in Austria's Kitzbuehel.
I will do my best", Klitschko promised. "This
is my only prediction.
Coach Fritz Sdunek is confident that Wladimir Klitschko
has fully coped with his loss to Sanders. Wladimir
is mentaly very strong. He proved to me that he is 100%
back.
I followed the entire preparation of my brother,
Vitali Klitschko said - two months after impressively
dismantling WBC champion Lennox Lewis in Los Angeles.
I know how strong my brother is.
Wladimir Klitschko is a very special opponent,
Fabio Moli said. He is a monster!
Wladimir Klitschko who was regarded as the great future
leader of the heavyweight division entered the rankings
of most world boxing organizations on surprisingly low
positions after losing the WBO belt to Sanders.
The highly powerful younger Klitschko brother who entirely
outclassed and destroyed every opponent in six world title
fights before his blackout in March is currently ranked
WBA #10, IBF #10 and WBC #13.
Only the World Boxing Organization kept their ex champion
on a more moderate position #3.
In the independent rankings of the website Fightnews.com
Wladimir Klitschko is ranked #6 while his brother Vitali
resides on #3.
The fight between Klitschko and Moli will be for the WBA
international E.B.A. title.
