Drews replaces Ulrich in European title fight against Branco

08.02 - Berlin – Undefeated Croatian Stipe Drews will be fighting against Italian Silvio Branco for the vacant European light heavyweight title tonight.

Thomas Ulrich who was scheduled to headline the show tonight at Estrel Convention Center, Berlin, pulled out at the last minute after ringside doctor Thorsten Dolla diagnosed this morning that the Berliner is suffering from the flu.

Now Drews, 22-0 (11), will fight against Branco, 46-5-2 (27) for the title that Ulrich vacated after talking to his management and to the European Boxing Union.

Main event of the evening will be the European heavyweight title fight between champion Sinan Samil Sam from Turkey and challenger Danny Williams from England
