Antonio Tarver Draws Cartoon To Help Former Champ

13.11 - Consensus number one light heavyweight contender Antonio Tarver has made no bones about his desire to fight current champion Roy Jones Jr. And now the former Olympian has taken his pen to paper with a satirical cartoon about the champion and his current situation involving John Ruiz, Don King, and Murad Muhammad.

But Tarver's intentions with this cartoon are not just to provoke Jones into a fight, but to help one of boxing's fallen warriors - former middleweight champion Gerald McClellan, who is confined to a wheelchair and blind due to injuries suffered in his 1995 bout with Nigel Benn.

"I think this whole situation with Roy and Ruiz is a joke, but what happened to Gerald is no laughing matter," said Tarver. "When it comes down to it, what happened to Gerald McClellan can happen to any of us, and I just want to do my part to help him out, especially with the holidays approaching."

For a minimum donation of $25 (sent to the Gerald McClellan Trust Fund), boxing fans can receive a personally autographed 8X10 reprint of Tarver's Roy Jones cartoon.

Please send any donations, made payable to the Gerald McClellan Trust Fund to:
