TRINIDAD RETURNS!

RAUL BALBI vs JUAN GOMEZ-TRINIDAD GO MANO-A-MANO ON REAL FIGHTS!

* SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9, ON PAY-PER-VIEW *

10.10 - A dynamite rumble between top-rated contender JUAN "GOLO" GOMEZ-TRINIDAD, from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and former world champion RAUL BALBI, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, has been added to the Saturday, November 9, pay-per-view extravaganza, "Real Fights!" at the beautiful Mountaineer Race Track and Gaming Resort in Chester, WV. Trinidad and Balbi will go mano-a-mano in a 10-round lightweight battle. "Real Fights!" will feature four main events, including Paul Spadafora vs. Dennis Holbaek in an IBF-IBC lightweight title unification bout; former world champion Angel Manfredy vs. Victoriano Sosa, in an IBF lightweight title elimination bout; and undefeated 2000 U.S. Olympian Jermain Taylor vs. Jonathan Reid.

The combined record of these eight gladiators is an amazing 262-18-3 (160 KOs) - a winning percentage of over 92.5%!

Promoted by Michael Acri Boxing Promotions, in association with DiBella Entertainment, the PPV telecast will begin at 9 P.M. EST /6 P.M. PST. It will be distributed by iN DEMAND with a suggested retail price of $24.95. Call your local cable/satellite provider for details.

Trinidad, 22-2 (15 KOs), the WBA's No. 7-rated contender, is the cousin of former world champion and boxing icon Felix Trinidad, who introduced Juan to boxing at the age of nine. Trinidad returns to the ring riding a three-year winning streak, which includes an NABO lightweight title second-round knockout victory over Wilfrido Ruiz, 29-4 in 2000. He followed that victory with another second-round KO, this time against Mexican National lightweight champion, Arturo Reyes, 19-5. This year, Trinidad is a perfect 2-0 (2 KOs) stopping Arthur Cruz in six rounds and Isidro Tejedor in one round, in March and September, respectively.

Balbi, 48-6-1 (33 KOs), captured the WBA lightweight title, in 2001, the old-fashioned way, by literally taking the fight to the defending champion - Julien Lorcy - and fighting him in Lorcy's own backyard - France, winning a hard-fought 12-round majority decision. Balbi lost the title in January, in his first defense, losing a disputed split decision to Leonard Dorin, which was so controversial the WBA ordered an immediate rematch. The fight was so competitive it was a candidate for "Fight of the Year." The rematch took place in May, with Dorin again winning by decision. Balbi's impressive resume includes the WBA-Latin America, WBO-Latin America and South American lightweight titles. He is currently world-rated No. 5 by the WBA.

NOTE: Undefeated 2000 U.S. Olympian Jose Navarro, who was originally scheduled to appear on the "Real Fights!" card, has withdrawn due to the recent death of his father.
