Armand Krajnc successful in Magdeburg Friday night

By Teddy Stenmark

26.04 - Former WBO middleweight champion Armand Krajnc ran his record to 27-2-0 in Magdeburg, Germany, Friday night when he out pointed Eliseo Nogueira of Portugal over eight rounds in his first bout at his new weight class, Super middleweight. The Swede who boxed brilliantly told News bureau "TT" that he feels great at super middle weight, "My body is more suited to this weight and I would like another fight as soon as possible".

It was Krajnc's first bout in eight months after the unfortunate loss to Russian power puncher Sergey Tatevosyan on the fourteenth of September last year. Krajnc as you might remember was hospitalized for a few days with minor bleedings in the brain following that bout. Armand was satisfied with his performance but added that the Portuguese fighters guard was almost impossible to get through and he felt the obvious power increase that has come with his new weight category, "They definitely hit harder at super middle " Armand said.

"29-year old Krajnc now aims at another title fight and he is optimistic about the future, "If I keep busy it might arrive sooner than expected, just two or three more fights". The card who took place at the Maritim, Hotel in Magdeburg and had undefeated German middle Dirk Dzemski in the main event against Belgian Alexander Polizzi for the National boxing association middleweight title (Dzemski won on a twelve rounds point decision) also had former junior welterweight World title challenger, Allan Vester of Denmark on the program.

The technical Dane outscored Leonti Vorunchuck of Estonia over six rounds. Two more Scandinavian profiles were in action this night; female feather Anita Christensen who stretched her unbeaten winning streak to 12-0 out scoring Renata Vesecka of The Czech Republic over six rounds and hard hitting cruiserweight, Lasse Johansen who took his sixth straight victory in impressive fashion, knocking out Andrei Georgiev of Bulgaria in the opener.
