Danish Junior middleweight Reda Zam-Zam to switch trainer

By Teddy Stenmark

12.03 - Very talented junior middleweight, Reda Zam-Zam (7-0) promoted by Team Palle, has decided to change trainer. Reda was earlier trained by amateur coach Jan Thieleman but will from now on be trained by Brian Mathiasen that also handles the training of junior welterweight Allan Vester, female pro-star Anita Christensen, hot welterweight prospect Ahmed Kaddour, feather Jadgar Abdulla and middleweight Youssef El-Awad.

Reda points out though that it's not because he's not satisfied with Thieleman's work that he is switching, "Jan is very competent and good to work with but I know that he has his hands full with the amateurs, I have chosen Brian because he is fully dedicated to the pro's and he has wonderful training-facilities out there in Viby (where the Gym is) " Zam-Zam has talked with Thileman and he is supportive of his former boxers decision.

Zam-Zam, who now is undefeated in 7 pro bouts, was one of Denmark's finest amateurs, Danish National champion several times and a solid National team member. He had 153 bouts with the west on, and won 132. He also boxed in the Semi professional German Bundes-league. He will definitely strengthen up the Mathiasen-team. Zam-Zam is the sixth fighter to be joining Mathiasen's famous "A-team", it makes Brian the number #1 trainer that handles most pro boxers in Denmark at the moment.
