"JUICE ON THE LOOSE"
Toronto, Canada's own Rico "Juice" Tan (10-0-2 9 KO's) will explode onto the battling field on Wednesday April 9, 2003 at Toronto's elegant Royal York Hotel for the vacant WBA FEDECENTRO WELTERWEIGHT TITLE.
Tan will headline the Main Event against Dominican Republic Champion Ambioris Figuero (10-3-3 6 KO's) in a scheduled 12 round contest that the experts are saying will solidify TAN'S mark in WORLD CLASS prize fighting.
Tan is currently ranked #6 by the WBA Fedecentro and Figuero #9.
Tan's last NABC WELTERWEIGHT TITLE DEFENSE was a December 6 massacre of Jimmi Zeikle (35-5). Tan demolished the Kansas City veteran "Derby Style" with a first round knockout.
Boxing experts are unified in their opinion that TAN is the most exciting, dynamic, charismatic, and top professional prize fighting prospect in Canada.
TAN'S mission is clear:
"the only acceptable outcome is victory"
"I will explode into victory"
"I will bring the WBA FEDCENTRO title home for my fans.
In a 10 round co-feature, Canadian Chad Brisson goes head to head with Indianapolis, Indiana's Mike Davis.
The opening bout will feature Toronto's Ehsan Arghash in his professional 4- round debut. Arghash, who is one of TAN's sparring partners, is matched against Jeff Hill.
Arghash and Tan are both trained and managed by Toronto's John Melich.
