01.08 - Promoter Anna Beth Goodman/Kingfish Boxing Productions and the Bank of America Centre, in association with Wild West Promotions, will present a sensational championship fight card on Monday, August 18, 2003, at the Bank of America Centre, located at 223 South Capitol Boulevard in Boise, Idaho.

ROCKY TORRES, 22-6, 8 KOs, Miami, Florida

"Irish" Ed Dalton, 26-9-3, with 6 knockouts, of Emmett, Idaho, will fight Rocky Torres, 22-6, with 8 knockouts, of Miami, Florida, in the main event scheduled for 12 rounds.

At the age of 29, Dalton is a 10-year pro. He has a hard-working, aggressive style and always makes exciting fights. He has travelled the globe and faced several of the world's best light heavyweights, including former world champions Thomas "Hitman" Hearns, Montell Griffin, Fabrice Tiozzo and Donny Lalonde. Torres, now 25 years old, is a professional veteran of over seven years. A tough competitor in the ring, he gives strong efforts in the ring and is always dangerous.

CLEVELAND CORDER, 27-2, 14 KOs, Boise, Idaho, vs
RUBEN PEREZ, 10-8-2, 4 KOs, Rosenberg, Texas

30 year-old Cleveland "The Christian Warrior" Corder, 27-2, with 14 knockouts, will be featured in a special attraction eight-round fight against Ruben Perez, 10-8-2, with 4 knockouts, of Rosenberg, Texas.

Born and raised in Kuna, a suburb of Boise, Corder is a six-year professional veteran and one of Idaho's favorite native sons in the boxing ring. Now 30 years old, he was an amateur star before he turned pro - Cleveland beat Jermain Taylor (who went on to win a 2000 Olympic bronze medal) in the finals to win the 1997 National Golden Gloves at 156 pounds, and received the "Golden Boy" award as the tournament's "Outstanding Boxer." Perez, 33 years old, is a tough veteran who always gives determined efforts.

CO-FEATURED BOUT - 10 ROUNDS, JR. WELTERWEIGHTS
RAMIRO CANO, 16-0, 12 KOs, Houston, Texas, vs
JOHNNY WEST-GUTIERREZ, 12-4-1, 11 KOs, Miami, Florida

Ramiro "Rambo" Cano, 16-0, with 12 knockouts, of Houston, Texas, will appear in the 10-round co-featured bout against Johnny West-Gutierrez, 12-4-1, with 11 knockouts, of Miami, Florida. Just 24 years old, Cano is an aggressive lefthanded slugger who wins over the fans wherever he fights with his all-out style. West-Gutierrez, now 36 years old, is a hard-hitting 9 ½-year veteran who is experienced against very good opposition and has given several impressive performances.

An exciting lineup of supporting bouts will be announced.
