AARON "THE HAWK" PRYOR TO BE MARRIED DURING 2003 HALL OF FAME WEEKEND

CANASTOTA, NY - MAY 29, 2003 - The International Boxing Hall of Fame announced today former world junior welterweight champion and Hall of Famer Aaron "The Hawk" Pryor and his fiancée Frankie Lynn Wagner will be married on Thursday, June 5th at the Hall of Fame's new "Courtyard of Champions" Amphitheater.

"The Hall of Fame is absolutely thrilled to have Aaron and Frankie's wedding here," said Hall of Fame Executive Director Edward Brophy. "They have been together for 12 years and they've been coming to the Hall of Fame for almost as many. We're honored they wanted to exchange vows with all of their friends in Canastota.'"

The wedding ceremony is slated for 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 5th on the grounds of the Hall of Fame at the "Courtyard of Champions" Amphitheater. The ceremony is open to the public and all boxing fans attending the Hall of Fame Weekend festivities are welcome.

The Hall of Fame Weekend will feature over 20 exciting events. Living inductees to be honored include welterweight king Curtis Cokes, 2-time heavyweight champion George Foreman, junior welterweight champion Nicolino Locche, 3-division champion Mike McCallum, journalist Jack Fiske and Academy Award-winning screenwriter Budd Schulberg. Posthumous inductees will also be honored.

Over 50 boxing stars, including Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Ken Norton, Emile Griffith, Ken Buchanan, Earnie Shavers, George Chuvalo, Angelo Dundee, Alexis Arguello, Carmen Basilio, Gene Fullmer, Tony DeMarco, Marlon Starling, James "Buster" Douglas, Frank Bruno, Christy Martin, and Ricardo Lopez are scheduled to participate in weekend festivities.
