LEWIS ON TONEYS WISH LIST: Toney appeared Tuesday, April 29 on Fox Sports Nets BEST DAMN SPORTS SHOW PERIOD and had this to say about possible upcoming opponents:
- Toney when asked if he wants to fight Chris Byrd: "I want to fight Lennox Lewis. I want the real heavyweight championship. I don't want the small belts. I want the big belts."
- Toney on a rematch against Roy Jones Jr: "He doesn't want it. When we fought in 1994, I was sick but he won the fight. What is he going to do now when I am at my regular weight and he is hovering around 199? He fought a tomato can last month (against Ruiz)."
