The Three Belt Bout to Superiority - "Winner Take All": Ellis vs Ikeke

09.08 - August 29th, 2003 at the Emerald Queen Casino Kenny Ellis and Kingsley Ikeke will battle it out on a nationally televised on ESPN2’s Friday Fight Night.

In Three Weeks the NABO NABA and NABF Middleweight titles will be in the possession of the fighter who declares himself ready to take on the rest of the world. Both fighters are training furiously for that exact opportunity.

The air is thick with the smell of sweat in the Southpark Boxing gym, but inside Kenny Ellis is getting down to business with his trainer, three time world champion Greg Haugen. All eyes are on this Professional boxer Kenny Ellis, but that does not stop him from taking a few tips from the up and coming amateurs.

One young boy stopped him to give him a few tips on how to hit the bag correctly. “I’ve been doing this since I was six. I think I know what I’m doing, but I appreciate your help and concern”. That said the boy’s face lit up as he hit his bag even harder in bursting satisfaction. In between parts of his training workout all Kenny had to say was “I’m not worried”.

A little farther south Kingsley Ikeke has traveled from his home in Toronto to train with other pros in LA. “When this fight is over one of us will be on a different level”, Kingsley Ikeke said about the outcome of this fight. He emphasized his excitement on having this opportunity to elevate his rankings and career.

“This definitely is the biggest fight in the Pacific Northwest since Haugen fought for the IBF world lightweight title at the Tacoma Dome in the mid 80’s,” said promoter Brian Halquist.

Also the Semi Main Event is The Battle of the Undefeated featuring:

James Lubwama (15-0-0) vs. Willie Stewart (19-0-0)

The Adrenaline is rising and only on August 29th will it be unleashed.

Undercard to be announced shortly.
