Oscar de la Hoya Presenta Boxeo de Oro Live From South Beach Mar 6th

07.02 - When the world’s most popular fighter teams up with the leading premium television network and decides to go to the most famous beach during the world’s largest street party, you can be sure that fists will fly, salsa will sound and everyone will be in for the time of their lives!

“RUMBLE AT THE BEACH” will be the third installment of “Oscar de la Hoya Presenta Boxeo de Oro”, the new and exciting monthly boxing series shown exclusively on HBO Latino. Famed Miami Nightspot “Level Nightclub” will be host to this event. The two Puerto Rican Stars, Juan Gomez Trinidad, who will be featured in the main event, and Henry Bruseles, who will battle in the semi main event, will ensure that boxing fans will be able to enjoy some of the most talented and tough Latin warriors in action. What is shaping up to be one of the most talked about events on South Beach, will have many celebrities ringside, including the “Golden Boy” himself -- seven time world champion and current reigning super welterweight champion Oscar de la Hoya.

“I am excited to bring this spectacular night to Miami,” said de la Hoya. “Golden Boy Promotions strives to bring boxing back to where it belongs and create exciting events from exciting venues. Miami’s famed South Beach and its leading club, Level, provide the right backdrop to ensure that ‘Rumble at the Beach’ will be a night to remember.”

Gomez Trinidad (22-2 with 15 KOs), a cousin of former world champion Felix Trinidad, is making a name for himself in the talent-laden lightweight division, and a win on March 6 will put him in line for a possible world title shot. In the main event of the "Rumble at the Beach", he will battle Mexico City's Efren Hinojosa (25-1 with 17 KOs) in an intriguing 12 rounder for the WBA Latin Americas championship.

In the televised co-feature, Bruseles (17-1 with 11 KOs), squares off in a junior welterweight contest against Terrell Finger (23-3 with 16 KOs), who hails from St. Louis. The 22-year old Bruseles, a native of Caguas, is seen as one of Puerto Rico's brightest hopes for future title contention.

Appearing on the non-televised portion of the card in separate bouts are two-time Argentinian Olympian and unbeaten welterweight prospect Guillermo Saputo (8-0, 5 KOs), and hard-hitting Floridian Andre Purlette, a heavyweight with an impressive 34-1, 31 KOs record.

Due to limited seating, tickets will be on sale immediately by either calling Golden Boy Promotions at 213-489-5631 or Level’s nightclub at 305-604-0009 or online at www.levelnightclub.com. Tickets are attractively priced from $35 up to special VIP tickets for $250. First bout will start at 8:00 p.m. The HBO Latino live doubleheader broadcast will start at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
