"Battle of Orleans" Workout Quotes: Mayorga, Corley, Judah, M'Baye

09.07 - In a highly anticipated rematch of perhaps the year's biggest upset, Ricardo "El Matador" Mayorga will defend his WBC/WBA welterweight titles against former WBC 147-pound champion Vernon "The Viper" Forrest in one of three world title fights Saturday, July 12, at The Orleans in Las Vegas. In the other championship fights, DeMarcus "Chop Chop" Corley will defend his WBO junior welterweight crown against former IBF junior welterweight titleholder Zab "Super" Judah and WBA super welterweight champion Vivian Harris will defend against unbeaten mandatory challenger, Souleymane "The Sensation" M'Baye. The outstanding eight-bout fight card, which is promoted by Don King Productions, in association with Main Events, Inc., will also include two world title elimination bouts. Tickets, priced at $350, $250, $150, $50 and $35, are available by calling 866-87-FIGHT or (702) 284-7777 Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased at The Orleans, via the Internet at www.orleansarena.com and at other Las Vegas outlets, including the Sun Coast, Gold Coast, Meadows Mall, Boulevard Mall and Galleria Mall. The Mayorga-Forrest and Corley-Judah bouts will be televised by HBO.

RICARDO MAYORGA (24-3-1, 1 NC, 22 KOs):
"It does not bother me that I am not the favorite. I respect their opinion, but I have to laugh at the oddsmakers, who think the last fight with Forrest was a fluke. The people that mean most to me are my family, Don King and my friends. It does not matter which way Forrest decides to fight, he is going to get knocked out again. The way I see it, he is the racehorse and I am the jockey, and I will be the one who dictates the pace. As long as he gets in the ring, I will knock him out. I am very sure he is scared, and knows what is going to happen. Poverty and hunger are what made me what I am today, and I still have a lot to do to help my family economically.''

DEMARCUS 'CHOP CHOP" CORLEY (28-1-1, 16 KOs):
"Judah seems to think I got my title on a loan, but it is mine and it is not for sale. I have seven children to feed - the seventh was born Monday - and there is no way I am going to let him take food out of my kids' mouths. I look at this like Leonard-Hagler: His speed versus my power, but I have speed, too. This is more than a title defense. It is the biggest fight of my life. I am fighting on the network where legends are made. Fans are going to see a legend fight a legendary fight on Saturday.''

ZAB JUDAH (28-1, 1 NC, 21 KOs):
"All my heavy training is over. The only thing left is to prepare myself mentally. This fight is all about me, not Corley, and me winning another world title. I am not looking past him, just looking straight through him. It is a lot easier to win the title, then to keep it. There are killers coming after you each and every fight. Corley came out of nowhere to win the title, but now I am back and ready to start destroying people again. People think I have been sidelined, but it has not been a layoff. I could not fight because of managerial problems.''

SOULEYMANE M'BAYE (27-0, 18 KOs)
"I feel this is my time, and a golden opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream. I did not take any shortcuts. I will never forget everything I had to do to get here. Harris is a good fighter and it will not be an easy fight. I am a big underdog but that is because people have never seen me. They will know a lot more about me after Saturday.''
