Eliecer, originally from Havana, Cuba, has a record of 23-2-2 with 12 knockouts. The 6-foot-6 1/2-inch Whitaker, who no longer is known as "Goofi," has a record of 24-2-1 with 20 knockouts.

The Cedric Kushner Promotions card is sponsored by Everlast, which has been at the forefront of boxing equipment for almost 100 years.

The 31-year-old L'Heureux, who has a record of 6-0 with two knockouts, meets Billy Zumbrun of Apple Valley, Calif., who has a mark of 9-3-1 with five knockouts, in a six-round fight. Two other heavyweights bouts, one six rounds and the other four rounds, also are on the card.

Jeremy Williams Headlines CKP Everlast Heavyweight Explosion Sept 29

World-ranked heavyweight Jeremy Williams of North Hills, Calif., continues his assault on the world rankings when he meets upset-minded Gilberto Martinez of Sacramento, Calif., on Cedric Kushner Promotions' monthly "Everlast Heavyweight Explosion" card televised nationally by Fox Sports Net Sunday, Sept. 29, from The Palace Indian Gaming Center in Lemoore, Calif.

Five more fights are on the card, presented by Cedric Kushner Promotions in association with George Chung's American Champion Sports, including an eight-round bout with undefeated heavyweight Derek Bryant of Philadelphia and a clash featuring unbeaten Women's International Boxing Federation lightweight champion Jenifer Lynn Alcorn of Fresno, Calif., against Imelda Arias of El Paso, Texas.

The card starts at 2:30 p.m. (Pacific) with admission to a tented arena adjacent to the casino beginning at 2.

Everlast has been at the forefront of boxing equipment for almost 100 years. Both the somewhat frenetic and rather unorthodox Williams and the aggressive Martinez bring in good records and most impressive winning streaks.

The 30-year-old Williams, ranked No. 13 by the World Boxing Council, has a record of 38-4 with 34 knockouts and has lost only twice since 1996. The 36-year-old Martinez has a record of 14-3-1 with seven knockouts and has not lost in more than 14 years.

A win by Williams and he may leap into the top 10 among world-ranked heavyweights. The 31-year-old Bryant has a record of 14-0 with 12 knockouts and has stopped his past seven opponents.
The 38-year-old Swindell, from Nashville, Tenn., has a record of 37-23-4 with 28 knockouts. He fought for the International Boxing Federation light heavyweight championship before moving up to the heavyweight division. As a heavyweight, he's fought three former world champions: World Boxing Association and International Boxing Federation champ Michael Moorer, IBF king Tony Tucker and WBC and IBF champion Hasim Rahman. Alcorn has a record of 13-0 with nine knockouts.

Also on the card are three more heavyweight fights featuring King Ipitan of Los Angeles against David Vedder of San Jose, Calif., in a six-round bout; John Clark of Los Angeles against Jimmy Lester of Oakland, Calif., in a four-round fight; and Manule Quezada of Wasco, Calif., against an opponent to be determined in a four-round bout.

The 31-year-old Ipitan, originally from Nigeria, has a record of 19-4-1 with 13 knockouts.
Although the 38-yeaar-old Vedder has a record of 21-22-5 with three knockouts, he has fought for four world titles-the WBC, WBA and IBF light heavyweight championships and the WBC cruiserweight crown.

The 31-year-old Clark has a record of 2-2 with two knockouts while the 33-year-old Lester has a mark of 6-12-2 three knockouts. The 24-year-old Quezada has a record of 4-1 with three knockouts. Arias has a record of 8-15-1 with eight knockouts.
