CKP Brings Levin, Thompson To "Heavyweight Explosion" Card May 24

16.05 - Highly regarded heavyweights Attila "The Hun" Levin of Sweden and Pembroke Pine, Fla., and Anthony "Tony the Tiger" Thompson of Silver Spring, Md., headline Cedric Kushner Promotions' nationally and internationally televised "Everlast Heavyweight Explosion" profesional boxing card Saturday, May 24, at the Reno (Nev.) Hilton. Levin faces Fernely Feliz of Danbury, Conn., while Thompson meets Wade Lewis of Tuscaloosa, Ala., in the main and co-main events.

Levin, who's trained by the legendary Angelo Dundee, who also trained Muhammad Ali and "Sugar" Ray Leonard, has a record of 26-1 with 21 knockouts while Thompson has a mark of 18-1 with 10 knockouts. Feliz has a record of 19-3 with 12 knockouts while the hard-hitting Lewis has a mark of 12-6 with 11 knockouts.

The six-bout card at the Reno Hilton starts at 7 p.m. (Pacific) with doors to the Silver State Pavilion opening at 6.

Also on the card is a rematch between International Female Boxing Association minimumweight champion Vai Zaganas of British Columbia and Las Vegas and the only person to beat her, Elizabeth Rodriguez of Mexico.

Three other fights are on the card: undefeated Patrice L'Heureux of Quebec City against Tali Kulhaapai of Honolulu in a six-round heavyweight bout; Kofi Jantuah of Ghana and Las Vegas against Luis Augusto Dos Santos of Brazil and Las Vegas in a four-round super welterweight fight; and unbeaten Shane Cameron of New Zealand and Las Vegas against Alphonzo Davis of Las Vegas in a four-round heavyweight bout.

Tickets for the card are priced at $10, $20, $30 and $50 with all seats reserved. Tickets are on sale at the Reno Hilton box office from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days and by calling (775) 789-2285 or (800) 648-3568.

The Zaganas-Rodriguez and L'Heureux-Kulihaapai fights are six rounds while the Jantuah-Dos Santos and Cameron-Davis bouts are four rounds.

The card will be televised nationally on HDNet and on tape delay to more than 100 countries on the Cedric Kushner Promotions Sports Network.
