Wlodarczyk defeats Palacios

By Marcus Richardson: WBC cruiserweight champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk (47-2-1, 33 KO’s) took care of challenger Francisco Palacios (21-2, 13 KO’s) for the second time in their rematch on Saturday in winning a 12 round unanimous decision by the scores of 116-112, 117-112, 116-112 at the Hala Stulecia in Wroclaw, Poland. Wlodarczyk’s jab and power shots were enough for him to keep Palacios at bay for most of the fight.

Palacios kept coming forward and trying to throw combinations, but he often walked into hard jabs from Wlodarczyk and that made it really hard for him to win round. Wlodarczyk power also looked impressive if not his accuracy. He was able to hit Palacios with some really big shots, but he also missed with a number of them could ended the fight had they landed.
