Ronald Gavril impresses at StubHub

In the second fight of the evening at the StubHub Center, Carson, Ronald Gavril scored an impressive KO victory over Dave Courchaine. ‘The Thrill’ proved too strong, quick and aggressive for his opponent and forced an end to the contest in the 2nd round.

Sporting golden attire Gavril came out confident from the opening bell and dropped Courchaine with a sickening body shot. Dave bravely made it back to his feet and survived the rest of the round. However the 1 minute interval was not enough for Courchaine who could not withstand the power and accuracy of Ronald’s punches as the fight prematurely drew to a conclusion after 1 minute 50 seconds of round two with Raul Caiz Sr. waving off the contest.

Gavril, who has steadily improved since turning professional in 2011, moves to 6(5)-0 with this latest victory. Trainer Eddie Mustafa Muhammad has been an invaluable tutor to the Bacau native as he has acclimatised to professional prize-fighting after spending 10 years in the amateur ranks.
The young prospect will be eager to get back between the ropes after that performance and with Mayweather Promotions boasting two exceptional cards in September there will be plenty of options for Gavril.
