In an interview with IFL TV Peter Fury, the uncle and trainer for heavyweight prospect Tyson Fury recently had an interview with IFL TV and had a lot to say for his nephew. He started out by saying that preparation was going well for their February 28th bout with top 20 heavyweight Christian Hammer. He mentioned that they were trying a few new things out for this fight, including a lot of additionally sparring.

Peter went on to tell the interviewer that this was a serious fight for Tyson, and Tyson is motivated for the fight, but nevertheless he was predicting a stoppage from his fighter. As usual when discussing Klitschko and Fury, Deontays name found its way into the discussion and Peter went on record saying that he would take either Deontay or Wladimir simply based on which camp put forward the better offer. Deontay is a heavyweight champion now, but when examining his record he has only one impressive win there. He needs someone like Tyson Fury to legitimise his claim to that strap and an undefeated fighter with either Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder on their record would be one of the biggest challenges Wladimir would have experienced in some years.

Peter Fury also discussed his other fighters Hughie Fury and Eddie Chambers and spoke briefly about their immediate futures. There are some big fights down the line for these two guys, Chambers has a lot of experience and Hughie has an undefeated record, so between the three of them they can really make an impact on this division. Peter also said that Hughie would look better in his next fight compared to any previous time in his past. He mentioned that Hughie had been having some trouble with his diet particularly regarding dairy foods. Now that the diet has been cleaned up they expect a much better performance from the young Hughie and this is good news as he will be going into his biggest fight.
