Pacquiao and 50 Cent could form promotional partnership
By Rob Smith: Rapper 50 Cent [also known as Curtis Jackson] could be forming a promotional partnership with Manny Pacquiao, according to RingTV. Pacquiao, 50 Cent and Michael Koncz, will be meeting possibly this Friday to discuss forming a promotional partnership. 50 Cent has already signed several well known fighters to his new TMT Promotions company.
It’s unclear where Floyd Mayweather Jr. is in all this because it was thought he would be a part of the TMT Promotions team.
It’s going to be interesting to see if Pacquiao moves in and is successful at this. If they do get this thing off the ground it’s require a lot of time and effort. Pacquiao is kind of busy with political career and he may have problems finding enough time to devote to it unless he puts it in the hands of Koncz or someone else in his team.
Making TMT successful is going to take a lot of work and time. If they can stick it out it could be a possible competitor with the two main promotional companies in the United States Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank. It would be nice to see a new company that compete with those guys in making important fights.
