Labaran in SA ready for WBF Cruiserweight title fight Saturday

Labaran vrs SA opponentGhana’s Ibrahim Labaran has arrived in South Africa full of confidence ahead of Saturday’s fight against local hotshot, Kevin Lerena at the Heartfelt Arena, Thaba Tshwane, Pretoria, Gauteng. At stake is the World Boxing Federation (WBF) Cruiserweight belt.

World title chasing Labaran has earmarked victory against Lerena as the platform to announce himself to an audience outside Ghana and consequently unto the international stage, why his camp have provided incessant training and preparatory rudiments sure to power him to victory on Saturday night.

“We’ve trained really well and the boxer is in the shape of his life. The world title is our ultimate target so this fight in South Africa is a test for the boxer and we are confident he will win to bring this title home.

It’s a promise and we are asking Ghanaians to give us all the support with their prayers,” Abdul Mohammed Samadu, manager of Labaran told www.sportsinghana.com at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra on Saturday night just before they flew out of the country.

The Ghana and West Africa champion is also expressing gratitude to a lot of his benefactors who have helped shaped his career up to this point and is pledging to give his all in the bid to appease everyone with the WBF title come Saturday night.

“We are grateful to the Sports Minister, Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah and the Ministry for their endless support. We also express our appreciation to the (Ghana Boxing Authority) GBA and many other boxing enthusiasts all over Ghana. We promise to win this title for everyone,” Mr. Samadu said.
