froch#7On Saturday afternoon November 23rd, boxing fans will get an early holiday gift as one of most anticipated All-English bouts in a long time will take place as IBF/WBA Super Middleweight champion Carl Froch defends his crown against undefeated George Groves.

The bout will be televised LIVE and exclusively in the United States by AWE and awetv.com

The announcement comes on the heels of a great afternoon of boxing that will see IBF number-one Welterweight Kell Brook take on former WBA Welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko that will be shown LIVE TODAY AT 3 PM EST / 12 PACIFIC

Froch, 31-2 with 22 knockouts has been a world champion for the better part of five years and has become a fan favorite all over the world due to exciting fights and willingness to fight anybody, anywhere and anytime.

Froch has fought nine current or former world champions (10 total) and is 8-2 in those bouts with wins over Robin Reid, Brian Magee, Jermain Taylor, Jean Pascal, Arthur Abraham, Glen Johnson, Lucian Bute, Glen Johnson and Mikkel Kessler.

Groves of London has a record of 19-0 with 15 knockouts was a prized amateur who scored the biggest win of his career when he scored a 12 round unanimous decision over 2008 Olympic Gold Medal winner James De Gale. He also holds victories Kenny Anderson (12-0); Daniel Allotey (13-1); Paul Smith (31-2); Francisco Sierra (25-5-1); Johnson and his coming off a 5th round stoppage over Noe Alcoba (31-2).
