(Photo credit: Suzanne Teresa/Premier Boxing Champions) Former US Olympian Errol Spence Jr is one of the most talked about prospects in all of boxing at the moment and the talented Texan star has got his sights firmly set on the big fights, telling fighthubtv that he will take any of the names in the division above him, such as Shawn Porter, Keith Thurman or Amir Khan – and he would like to fight them on Floyd Mayweather’s under card on Sep 12th.

“It’s really all of the above” Spence said when quizzed on who he would like to fight if he got that opportunity.

“Everybody’s name; Amir Khan, Shawn Porter, Keith Thurman. I mean anybody who gonna get in the ring – like Floyd said, Floyd said he’d vacate one of his belts for us to fight, so I mean why not? Fighting on the biggest stage, MGM Grand on PPV on Floyd Mayweather’s co-main event? I mean how big can it get?”

And Spence, the stand-out talent of the medal-less London 2012 team, is clear that he will fight anybody he has to;

“I’m not avoiding anybody, I’m not ducking anybody. I just wanna fight young lions like myself.”

With Spence having just defeated Phil Lo Greco on the Broner/Porter undercard and Thurman boxing on July 11th, it’s entirely feasible that such a fight could be put together in September.

However Thurman, who is aware of Spence name dropping him, recently said of Errol to ThaBoxingVoice;

“He’s jumping a little too far ahead of himself, you know? He’s yet to even fight a B-class fighter – but it’s great, you know? We need young, fresh talent and that’s what Errol Spence is.”

“You can want what you want, but a lot of times in the world of boxing, you gotta work for it, and you have to earn it. ”

“He is young, he does need to mature – and when he does mature, I will be looking forward to (fighting) him.”
