It’s also a stage for the Ghanaian showmaster to answer his critics and prove that he can take on the big boys of world boxing even in the US.

The boxer fondly nicknamed Game Boy has been training fervently in the US for the past fortnight along with his uncle and trainer, Emmanuel Teiko Tagoe, assistant trainer, Sowah, manager and agent, Baffour Gyan as well as Box Office Sports Promotions Matchmaker, Solomon Otoo Lartey.

Tagoe has sworn to put up a good display for the US audience when he finally steps into the ring Friday night.
“I’m in good shape, training has been very good and I enjoyed my sparring sessions. Everything is alright and we are looking forward to nothing than a win. I ask Ghanaians to keep praying for victory is already ours,” Tagoe told www.sportsinghana.com after yesterday’s weigh-in session.
