Åland Islands Court dismisses Sauerlands claim, Helenius will fight

Robert Helenius’ agent Kari Uoti informed the organizators of GIGA Estonian Boxing Night, that the Åland Islands Court decided to dismiss Sauerlands claims and the therefore the fighter has no obstacles stepping into the ring in Tallinn on Saturday.

Sauerland issued a claim to prevent Helenius from fighting in Tallinn, but the Åland Islands Court did not see a reason to institute the proceedings.

Finland heavyweight boxer Robert Helenius will make his comeback this Saturday, on the 21st of March in Tallinn. Helenius arrived in Tallinn already on Monday and will appear in the ring today, during press-training.

Also, today is the day everybody will get to see the Hungarian Andras Csomor, who will also step into the ring alongside WBO Europe middleweight champion Artur Akavov and his opponent Davit Makaradze.

The fight in Tallinn, where WBO Europe middleweight champion Artur Akavov will defend his title against Davit Makaradze, has already recieved a lot of attention in Estonia and especially in Finland. Helenius will not be the only Finnish fighter in the ring: rising star Janno Forsman will look for his next win against Bulgarian Ruslan Rocivich and MMA-fighter Timo-Juhani Hirvikangas will make his debute in professional boxing against Estonian Ott Remmer.

Despite claims, Robert Helenius will make his comeback in Tallinn!

Robert Helenius will make his comeback next Saturday, on the 21st of March in Tallinn. Even though Helenius’s former promotor Sauerland has filed an law-suit for court, it will not prevent the star from stepping into the ring during GIGA Estonian Boxing Night.

„Sauerland has filed an issue for Aland Islands court. They want to prevent Robert Helenius from fighting, but it shall not prevent him from fighting in Tallinn,“ confirmed Helenius’s agent Kari Uoti. „Even if the court accepts the claim, it must be represented to Helenius before taking effect. It is very unlikely this could be achieved the fight and i strongly believe there will be no obstacles.“

„We have known about the situation between Robert and Sauerland all along. Roberts representatives have assured us that the fight will happen,“ said GIGA Estonian Boxing Night organizer Est Promotions. „It will be the biggest boxing night in the history of Estonia and we are really happy that Robert will make his comeback in Tallinn. We are also very positive that all his fans from Finland will come and support him.“

Helenius has already arrived in Tallinn and will start the last preparation for fight against young Hungarian Andras Csomor.

„I’m in the best shape of my life! You should never underestimate your oponent, but i’m certain that I will get my 20th career win,“ said Helenius, who has only one objective – the world title fight!
