The British Lionhearts returned to winning ways tonight with a 4-1 victory over the Algeria Desert Hawks in the World Series of Boxing (WSB) at York Hall in London.

Wins for WSB debutant, Jack Bateson, Ekow Essuman, Joe Joyce and a walkover for John Newell sealed the victory on a good night for the Lionhearts team who bounced-back well from recent defeats away to Morocco and Ukraine. Continue reading

The USA Knockouts Move to a Perfect 3-0 in 2015 World Series of Boxing Competition with a Win over Caciques Venezuela

(COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) – The USA Knockouts kept their undefeated record in tact on Friday with a 3-2 match victory over the Caciques Venezuela at the Miccosukee Sports & Entertainment Dome in Miami, Fla. The team from Venezuela traveled to south Florida brimming with confidence after a big upset victory over the Azerbaijan Baku Fires in week two, but the American boxers boasted a winning streak of their own and the Knockouts extended it on Friday night. The U.S. squad traded wins with the visiting team throughout the night before heavyweight Joshua Temple (St. Louis, Mo.) clinched a Knockouts victory with a third round TKO in the final bout of the night. British Lionhearts lose 3-2 in tough away match to Morocco Atlas Lions in WSB

The British Lionhearts lost a tough away fixture in the World Series of Boxing (WSB) tonight, going down 3-2 to the Morocco Atlas Lions in Casablanca.

Wins by the Scouse duo, Antony Fowler and Sam Maxwell – who both have two wins and no defeats this season – were not enough to prevent a loss for the Lionhearts team which endured a difficult night in Casablanca against a tough and aggressive Moroccan team who took full advantage of being at home.
