Tony DeMarco To Be Honored

Hyannis, Massachusetts [June 24, 2015] – Former world champion, “The Fleet Street Fury” Tony DeMarco (58-12-1, 33 KO’s), will be the special guest of honor at the boxing event August 8th at the Hyannis Youth & Community Center (HYCC) in beautiful Cape Cod. That night’s event will be headlined by the Northeast Heavyweight Championship fight between Hyannis’ Jesse Barboza (9-1-1, 5 KO’s) and Pennsylvania’s Jesse Oltmanns (10-5, 7 KO’s). It will also feature an eight-round light heavyweight fight between Harwich’s Paul Gonsalves (7-7-1, 3 KO’s) and Mexico’s Rafael Valenzuela (8-5, 1 KO). Continue reading

1950s Welter Champ Tony DeMarco To Attend HOF Weekend

CANASTOTA, NY – MARCH 29, 2013 – The International Boxing Hall of Fame announced today 1950s welterweight champion Tony DeMarco will return to Canastota for festivities planned for the 24th Annual Hall of Fame Induction Weekend set for June 6-9th.

“During the 1950s, Tony DeMarco provided boxing fans with many memorable moments that are still talked about today,” said Hall of Fame director Edward Brophy. “We are very excited about welcoming him back to Canastota for the big weekend.” Continue reading
