Burton’s Shaw Ready To Bounce Back

By Daniel Mole: Burton boxer, Tom Shaw, insists his first defeat since turning professional was ‘just a blip’ and he is determined to bounce straight back when he fights in his hometown next month.
The 22 year-old had made the perfect start to his pro career, comfortably winning his first 8 fights. A ninth straight victory was expected when he faced Mark McKray on the undercard of Frankie Gavin’s successful British title defence at Walsall Town Hall last month. The rookie fighter (8-0) has been preparing for his appearance on the undercard of Frankie Gavin versus Jason Wellborn and Martin Gethin versus Ben Murphy at Walsall Town Hall on Friday, 18th January by stepping in with the highly-rated pair.
