Cologne, November 6, 2013. WBA Female World Flyweight Champion Susi Kentikian will return to the ring on December 7, 2013 at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart, Germany. She will defend her crown against Italian Simona Galassi on the undercard of the IBF Middleweight Title showdown between Darren Barker and Felix Sturm. Sturm vs. Barker will be broadcasted live on SAT.1 in Germany and on Sky Sports in the UK.
(Photo credit: Sturm Box Promotions) Susi Kentikian (30-2, 16 KO’s) will be attempting to recapture her WBA Female flyweight title tonight against champion Carina Moreno (23-5, 6 KO’s) in a scheduled 10 round bout at the Westfalenhalle, Dortmund, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. The 25-year-old Kentikian lost her WBA title to Moreno in losing by a close 10 round split decision last year in December in Germany.
For Kentikian is was her second straight defeat at the time after having been beaten by a close 10 round majority decision in May of last year by Mellisa McMorrow. Continue reading

WBA Women’s flyweight champion Carina “La Reina” Moreno (23-5, 6 KOs) is gearing up to defend her title once again against Susi Kentikian (30-2, 16 KOs) in a rematch of their December 2012 scrap, a fight in which Moreno won by split decision. The rematch will take place at Westfalenhalle, Dortmund, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany on July 6th.
The first fight was tremendously close and highly competitive, but in the end Moreno landed harder shots more often and secured the split decision victory against Kentikian in her home country of Germany, where she was used to having decisions go her way.
Now, Moreno will once again travel to her opponent’s home turf. Kentikian is from Germany by way of Armenia and Moreno is thrilled to go on the road for the second time in a row. Continue reading
by Jens Zimmer: Former unified flyweight champion Susi Kentikian suffered her second straight loss at the Burg-Waechter Castello, in Düsseldorf, Germany yesterday. 31-year-old Carina Moreno (23-5, 6 KOs), who lost four of her last five fights, beat Kentikian (29-2, 16 KOs) in a very close fight by a ten round split decision. The judges scored the fight 96-94 twice for Moreno and 97-93 for Kentikian.
Kentikian looked looks the same as ever, rushing forward but not landing enough while getting caught too much by Moreno. The fight was close but Moreno did enough to win. East Side Boxing scored the fight 96-95 for Moreno. Continue reading
Just a few weeks ago, Firat Arslan fought the fight of his life against WBO cruiserweight champion Marco Huck. Only the judges prevented that Arslan became a two-time world champion when he lost a disputed decision against Huck on November 3rd. But, instead of resting and mourning after the controversial defeat, Firat Arslan will be back in the ring on Saturday, December 1st 2012 at the “ran Boxen: Die Super Fight Night – powered by Felix Sturm” boxing event in Dusseldorf, Germany.
