Milwaukee, WI (November 4, 2013) – Usually when you see large crowds of people in Wisconsin, you would assume they are heading into Lambeau Field which serves as the home to the World Champion Green Bay Packers on game day, and touted as the most legendary stadium in the National Football League, yet surprising as it may be Wisconsin proved it is also a fighting state.
This past Friday IBOM Stars Promotions presented “Casino Battle Royale” at the Potawatomi Bingo Casino, in the beautiful city of Milwaukee. Serving as the main event Nigerian born Enobong “The Nigerian Gentleman” Umohette (9-1, 8 KO’s), who know resides and fights out of Milwaukee, WI took on not only the duties of being the promoter of the event, he also served as the main event taking on former USA Olympian Dante Craig (20-17-1, 15 KO’s), in a scheduled 10 round bout for the vacant Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) International heavyweight title. Former world title challenger Rico “Suave” Hoye (23-3, 15 KO’s), has officially opted out of retirement after discussing his future with his family and friends. Hoye, the former #1 IBF light heavyweight in the world decided to return to the sport of boxing but this time campaign in the heavyweight division.
Hoye, had a breakthrough year in 2003. Besides cracking the top 10 in the World Boxing Organization (WBO), he won both the North American Boxing Organization (NABO) and International Boxing Association (IBA) Americas light heavyweight titles. Continue reading
