Shoulder injury forces Nicola Adams out of the 2014 Women’s Boxing World Championships in South Korea
OLYMPIC Champion, Nicola Adams, will not compete at this year’s AIBA Women’s World Championships in Jeju City, South Korea as she needs to have surgery on a shoulder injury.
Adams will have an operation in the next two weeks to repair the injury to her left shoulder that has been troubling her since the start of the year. She is expected to be out of the ring for four to six months. Continue reading
GB BOXING has selected four women from the world class performance programme to compete in the forthcoming EUBC European Women’s Boxing Championships in Bucharest, Romania (31 May – 7 June 2014).
The selection includes 2012 Olympic gold medallist, Nicola Adams, who will be defending the title she won in Rotterdam in 2011 as she bids to become the first ever British women to become a two-time European Champion. Continue reading
OLYMPIC Champion, Nicola Adams, is to make her first competitive appearance since her triumph in London at the forthcoming EU Championships in Keszthely, Hungary (1-6 July 2013). Adams will compete for England alongside three other members of the GB Boxing’s Podium squad including fellow Olympia, Natasha Jonas, 2012 middleweight world champion, Savannah Marshall and Lisa Whiteside who joined the Podium squad in April 2013.
